Who we are

Our House Stays is a holiday let management business run by Steve Daly and Christie. We decide why and how your information is used, which makes us the “data controller” under UK data protection law. You can contact us through the enquiry form on our website.

What we collect

Only what you give us in the enquiry form or the savings calculator: your name, email address and the location of your property. If you use the calculator and then send us an enquiry, we also keep the figures you entered (nightly price, bedrooms, occupancy, stays a month) and what the calculator worked out, so we can talk to you about them.

We also record where you came from if the link you used carries marketing tags (for example utm_source or utm_campaign), the website that referred you, and the page you sent the form from. We use this only to understand which of our own promotion led to your enquiry.

Why we use it

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to the enquiry you asked us to answer (and, if you later become a client, taking steps you ask us to take before a contract). You can ask us to stop at any time.

Where it’s stored and for how long

Your details are saved in a private storage area (Vercel Blob) that only we can access. We keep an enquiry for as long as we’re talking with you and for up to 12 months afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case we’ll tell you how long we keep client records. We don’t sell your information.

Who sees it

Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes it on our behalf. We don’t share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

Cookies

This site doesn’t set advertising or analytics cookies. Marketing tags from a link are held only in your browser’s session storage for the visit, so they can be attached to your enquiry if you send one. If that changes we’ll ask first.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Send us a message through the enquiry form on our website and we’ll deal with it promptly.

Tax and advice

We’re not tax advisers. Anything on this site is general information, not advice.
